FAQs
Are you using AI to make your movie?
While I don't have anything against AI, I believe it doesn't belong in creative work. Everything in this film, including the music, is 100% human-made. I'll be editing with Adobe Premiere Pro, and even though they have some solid AI features, I won't be using them.
That said, I do use AI for the boring stuff like spell-checking, project management, and building my knowledge base. I'm currently using Grammarly to proofread and sometimes rewrite sections, but it's always based on my original material.
Is your movie a pro-Israel propaganda piece?
Not at all. Israel isn't even a discussion in the movie. It's simply about a group of Jewish teenagers living in Silver Spring, Maryland.
Are there political undertones in your movie? Does it show bias?
Nope! The story takes place in the DC area, so politics might come up briefly, but the characters' views don't represent any particular political party. We don't discuss Israel, and we don't get into politics. I'm not a one issue voter, but my main political belief is pretty straightforward: treat everyone with respect and dignity, regardless of their race, religion, creed or LGBTQ+ status. We all deserve that.
Is your work 100% original?
The screenplay is completely original, I wrote every word. Some elements nod to Stephen King's work, but they've been modified as parodies, which should fall under Fair Use.
I can't compose music, so I'll be getting royalty-free licenses for that. For backgrounds, I create them in Google SketchUp, then trace them onto paper. I make about 95% of the backgrounds and models myself, though I do use some royalty-free objects. Since I plan to market the movie, I make sure everything I use allows commercial usage.
Are you Really animating this entire movie by yourself?
Yep, gulp! I have ADHD, so this definitely isn't easy. You can follow my progress on Instagram where I try to put in an hour (or two... or three) each day. This is a huge undertaking, and your support really helps me tackle this mountain.
The idea hit me after I animated a 10-minute piece. I figured if I could do that in two weeks, I could handle a full movie with enough patience. I'm also learning project management right now, so this is the perfect chance to put those skills to work.
How can we support you?
Spread the word! Marketing starts during production, and there's a ton of work going into this. Your help getting people talking about it will make a huge difference in the movie's success, both during creation and after it's finished.
